We had such an excellent time at Arty’s 4th birthday party, that I thought I’d better record it here for posterity.
He’s a young chap who knows his mind, and when I asked him back in November what sort of party he would like he said “Hello Kitty, please”. And he didn’t question his decision for a moment.
His Katie made him a Kitty-shaped cake (apple and cinnamon at his request), we had Kitty cupcakes, pin-the-bow-on-the-kitty game, kitty cookie decorating, and even kitty shaped fairy bread. It was a Kitty palooza. Here’s how it looked:
The best bit about a birthday party is seeing how loved the birthday person is by their community of people (that’s a lie – cake is the best bit, but the love thing comes a pretty close second). Arty had a small army of peeps who put this shindig together for him, and they all did so with such love.
He has a fantastic little bunch of mates who came and made the whole thing special and loads of fun.
I’m going to look back on this party as bright, happy, and full of fun – and I’m certain he will too.
