December daily 2017: Introduction pages

Hey there, peeps!

December is so close now! I can almost smell the fruit cake and pine needles.

I have been so excited to get started on my December Daily album I can hardly contain myself.

I know a lot of people get that excitement out of their system by working on foundation pages, but I tend to feel a bit stressed out by them. I like to be free to do whatever feels right on the day, and let the photos and stories – rather than the products – dictate the shape of my album. At least that’s how I feel this year. Maybe I’ll change my mind in the future!

But just because I don’t do foundation pages doesn’t mean I haven’t made a start in my album! I’ve made a combined title and ‘reasons why’ page to go in the front of my album, and I’ve also created a place to put our family Christmas card in there. I always order our cards in November, and have them written up ready to go in the post on the first of December, so the card definitely belongs at the very beginning of the album.

Here’s the process video:

I used: inspiration and ideas from Ali Edwards ‘December Daily: Product Play’ class || bits and pieces from the December Daily 2017 main kit (now only available in digital) ||bits and pieces from Liz Tamanaha’s December Daily 2017 mini kit (now only available in digital) || bits and pieces from the One Little Bird 2016 December Daily mini kit || alphas from Felicity Jane || December Daily ‘Weekly’ stamp set || DMC embroidery floss in ‘blanc‘ || clear acetate || Ranger Wonder Tape (red line tape) || Avery index tabs

See you soon! xxx
