Eek! I made this layout during my midyear break at uni, and I’m only just now sharing it! I just didn’t get a chance to edit the video before all those classes and assignments kicked off again, but the footage was sitting there waiting for me, and here it is.


I used a dry, coarse brush to create that scratchy paint effect with gesso on the patterned paper and I love the way it softens the pattern and creates another layer under the photo.

The combination of stitching and staples makes me happy too. I love that they’re functional and decorative at the same time.


I’m glad I found a use for these little butterflies from Felicity Jane. I got them in a kit a while ago, and they have been kicking around with my other ephemera for ages. For some reason I find butterflies a bit tricky to use, but they went well with the airy look I was going for here, and the John Lennon style dreaming and imagination theme.
