Mothers’ Day DIY: Photo-pom garland

Hello, my lovely peeps!

I’m here with a slightly different project today.

The splendid chaps at Spotlight sent me, and a bunch of other creative mums, a stack of craft supplies and challenged us to make a DIY project with them fro Mothers’ Day.

I knew I wanted to do something that could be personalised with photos, so I racked my little brain and came up with this…

I like the floofiness of the pom poms, and how they break up the photos and add softness.

If you didn’t want to make the heart frames, you could totally just use pegs or paper clips to hang photos from the twine.

And if you didn’t want to make pom poms, you could make tassels instead.

Thanks so much to Spotlight for including me in this fun project! Make sure you check out their IG and FB to see what the other mums have made with their supplies!

I used: 4 seasons Marvel 8 ply yarn in pink and purple || Shamrock Naturals baker’s twine in purple, pink & lavender || Papercraft double-sided tape || Clover pompom maker || Tim Holtz non-stick micro-serrated scissors || Fiskars soft grip craft knife

I hope this little project inspires you to make something lovely for your mum, or another important person in your life this Mothers Day,

See you soon!
