Pocket pages ’17: Week 22

Hello luvvies!

I’ve got a very pink and floral layout for you today. It has a similar feel to last week, and I think it’s because these are my favourite colours and prints. They’re the ones I just always want to get back to.

Pink is just home to me, you know?

Most of my photos this week are of small everyday things. What I’ve been enjoying for breakfast, my favourite candles, a sweet moment with my little boy.

It just made sense to envelop these moments with colours and prints that I adore.

I loved using a bigger 6×8 photo for part of this spread. I definitely want to do more of that. I often hold off because cutting photos up and dividing them between multiple pockets can mean cutting someone’s face in half, or dividing two people who are sharing a moment in the photo, and that doesn’t generally feel right to me. But for photos like this, it works really well. You get to see the loveliness of that moment in close-up, and nobody gets their face chopped.

Here’s the process video for this spread:

I used: bits and pieces from various Felicity Jane kits || ‘Fresh Cut’ paper, and chipboard accent stickers from Cocoa Vanilla’s ‘Make a Wish’ range || chipboard shapes from Ali Edwards || rolling stamp from Ali Edwards ‘One Little Word’ 2017 range || Glossy Accents adhesive || pink bakers twine

See you soon! xxx
