Hullo, faves!

Here’s week 36 in my pocket pages album. I didn’t realise ’til I was editing the footage that literally every photo in this spread has Arty in it. Classic mama-of-an-only-child.

I went with pinks, peaches, and pale tangerines in this layout to complement the strong yellows and maroons in the photos, and I’m pretty pleased with the way the colours work.

There was an amazing patterned paper covered in reading glasses that would have worked SO well with all those Book Week photos, and if you watch the process video you’ll see me trying VERY hard to make it work, but it was so busy that I just couldn’t. I’m still bummed about that, but it will keep for another day.

It was an interesting challenge to make a couple of really busy photos work and not allow them to make the whole spread to feel too cluttered. But I think I got away with it…

Here’s the process video:

I used: ‘Camellia‘ digital kit from Tincture Co. || paper from Maggie Holmes Gather 12×12 paper pad || pastel yellow and pink washi || 6×8 alpha sticker sheet in ‘St Helens‘ by Ali Edwards || ‘Small Talk‘ phrase stickers from Tim Holtz || chipboard shapes by Ali Edwards || Glossy Accents || 6″ Cambridge doily from Pretty Little Studio

See you soon! xxx
