I’m here with week 17 in my pocket pages album.
This week I had a journal card that I really wanted to use – that one about rainbows – because it went so well with the photo of Arty with his umbrella. It served as the jumping off point for the rest of the spread, because it was so bold, and had a kind of pre-made palette of colours already on it.
Luckily it went quite well with the photos I had for the week, and presented a lot of options to colour match with. The ephemera from this month’s Citrus Twist kit toned in perfectly, so I had a lot of lovely little bits and pieces to embellish with.
I think my favourite photo from the week, and my favourite story too, is this one of Arty as a rabbit. He’s a pretty cute kid already (IMHO), but when you add an adorable Snapchat filter, OMG.
I am really enjoying the way that my kits are continuing to push me to step outside of my familiar pink and yellow comfort zone, and try different colours. The grassy greens and corally oranges in this spread are not things I would normally reach for, but I love the way they’ve turned out.
Here’s the process video for this spread:
I used: bits and pieces from various Felicity Jane, Citrus Twist, and Gossamer Blue kits || ‘Willow’ puffy alphas from Felicity Jane || Tombow glue pen || Glossy Accents adhesive || Tiny Attacher with gold staples
See you soon!
