Every time Arty gets a hair cut he seems to look a whole year more grown up, and the transformation kind of boggles my mind.
We take him to this incredibly OTT hipster barber shop near our house, and seeing him go in there and sit on his upturned bucket (he’s too short to just sit in the chair), and have his locks tended to while all the fancy men get their beards and moustaches groomed is just something else.
So, I had to do a haircut spread this time, because my little man is just the most.
I love the combo of the checked cardstock and the tiled wall in the photo on that second page. The way that popped made me want to do the whole thing in black and white, and just add a few hints of gold. That’s always a pretty striking combo, and I think it works here.
Next time he gets a haircut I swear to god he’s going to come out of the salon looking 25.
I used: Paislee Press ‘Hey there handsome’ journal cards || Becky Higgins’ ‘Everyday’ edition chipboard stickers || Maggie Holmes Bloom ephemera die cuts || Maggie Holmes ‘Emily’ cardstock || bits and pieces from The Freckled Fawn’s ‘Together is Best’ kit || Tiny Attacher.
