My experience with Project Life so far this year has been about finding a balance between developing a signature style, and experimenting with ways of deviating creatively from that.
I’ve learned to pare back. When you use as many photos as I do, less is definitely more when it comes to embellishments, text, and other add-ons.
I’ve learned that as soon as you decide to stick to something (a colour scheme, a uniform title card), you invariably change your mind.
I’ve learned to be kinder to myself when I do that, and to just go with it. And it’s feeling good. I’m a lot happier with what I’m creating these days.
There were some nice blues in my photos this week, so I thought I’d bring those those out with my paper choices. Complementing the blues with grey seemed like the natural course of action, and I think it’s worked out well…
I used: Paper and ephemera from Kikki.K’s Paper Lover’s Book: Mountain | Pretty Little Studio paper in Sweet Gray & Priceless | Silver arrow paper clip from The Freckled Fawn | Stamps from (yep) Kellie Stamps
