Traveler’s Notebook: You are allowed to like yellow

Hello, my loves!

I’ve got a traveler’s notebook layout to share today. It’s about being allowed to like yellow. And whatever the hell else I like. Because what we’re each into is something we should be able to decide for ourselves, right?

If you grew up with overbearing parents, bossy siblings, pushy school friends, or the like, you’ll know what I mean here. It’s easy to take on their opintions and just believe that they’re yours too.

But part of coming into your own identity, maturing, and growing confident in yourself, is learning to identify your own likes and interests – even if they’re contradictory to what you’ve always been told.

And if you need it, I’m officially giving you permission! Whether it’s cheesy country music, impractical shoes, a different religion, or the colour yellow – you do you!

Here’s a video of my process in making this page:

I used: Wood veneer from a Felicity Jane kit || paper from Felicity Jane’s ‘essentials’ paper pack || Ecoline liquid watercolour in yellow: 205 || Tiny Attacher with gold staples || enamel dots from Cocoa Vanilla’s ‘Hello Sunshine’ range || ephemera pack from One Canoe Two’s ‘Hazelwood’ collection || Martha Stewart glue pen || paper from the Maggie Holmes ‘Bloom’ 6×6 paper pad || Papercraft double sided tape

See you soon!
