So, one of my besties is away in the USA at the moment. She’s having an amazing time, seeing plays on broadway, shopping, visiting parks and museums and galleries. It looks incredible, and I’m loving the vicarious travelling I’m getting to do via FaceTime and her Instagram.

But I MISS HER! So I dug an old photo out of my drawer and made a scrapbook layout with her face on it. Because that’s how I roll.

I went pretty extra on this one, both with the colour palette and just the sheer amount of stuff I put on the page, but I actually like the way it turned out. I think the combination of stitching, ruffles, and Nuvo Drops is just OTT enough to work.

That paper from the Crate Paper ‘Hooray’ range complements the colours in the photo really well, even if it’s a little outside my normal aesthetic. Who knows? I might just start working brighter more regularly in future…
